Joanna Ogunmuyiwa

Joanna Ogunmuyiwa is a passionate and client-focused attorney known for her leadership, advocacy, and commitment to justice. She has worked closely with the Federal Public Defender’s Capital Habeas Unit, assisting clients in challenging death sentences, and has supported a range of social justice initiatives, including immigration advocacy and domestic violence services.

Joanna served as President of the Day Student Bar Association at Loyola Law School, where she acted as a key liaison between students and administration and helped oversee programming, funding, and events for numerous student organizations. Her leadership and collaborative approach earned her a reputation as a trusted voice within the law school community.

Before entering the legal field, Joanna worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, an experience that shaped her dedication to advocacy and public service. She brings that same commitment to her legal practice, striving to deliver thoughtful, effective representation for every client.
