Michelle was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. She first became interested in criminal defense when she joined her high school’s mock trial team.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in literature and writing at the University of California, San Diego in 2010, before attending law school at the University of San Diego. While in law school, Michelle interned with various branches of the San Diego Public Defender and Alternate Public Defender Offices. She earned her juris doctorate with a concentration in criminal law in 2014.
Since graduating law school and passing the California Bar Exam, Michelle has worked as a criminal defense attorney, representing clients throughout the state of California. She is an experienced criminal defense attorney, with nine years of experience practicing criminal defense in multiple counties throughout California, including San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, San Bernadino, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Michelle strives to ensure her clients not only have an excellent outcome on their criminal case, but also to ensure they have an excellent experience throughout the process of obtaining those results. She believes the best way to do this is to keep her clients informed every step of the way. By listening to her clients, and taking the time to get to know them, she can better advise them throughout the life of their case.
